Heart valve disease
Heart valve disease develops when one of the heart’s valves is not working properly. Sometimes a valve doesn’t open as much as it should (called stenosis). Sometimes a valve doesn’t close as tightly as it should (called a leaky valve, or regurgitation). But today there are treatments for heart valve disease such as valve repair and valve replacement. Cardiac Calcium Score Screenings

Cardiac Calcium Score Screenings are used to check for cholesterol buildup & hardened, or calcified, plaque on the walls of the arteries in the heart.

It can detect coronary artery disease before any symptoms occur to determine the severity of any pre-existing coronary artery disease.

This screening only takes minutes.

During the test, a computer tomography (CT) scanner rotates around the body while a computer creates detailed cross-sectional images, like slices, of the inside of your body.

If calcium deposits are present, they show up as bright white spots on the scan images. After a few minutes, you will have a cardiac calcium score that helps you estimate your heart attack risk.
